Social Media Policy.

At Girls In The Fast Lane, we understand and recognise the importance of using social media to directly communicate with our audience globally. Social media allows us to share & listen to each others’ stories, start important conversations, and share our opinions respectfully with people all over the globe.

We understand the responsibilities that come with social media reach. It is important to Girls In The Fast Lane that our audience can engage in a safe environment.

We understand that social media can sometimes be a hateful place, where a minority uses it to spread hate.

Girls In The Fast Lane has a zero-tolerance policy on bullying, abuse, sexual harassment or hate speech & discrimination of any kind on our social media channels. People participating in such actions are not welcome in our community.

The Girls In The Fast Lane sets clear guidance on what is acceptable when engaging with our team and fellow online community. It also outlines what will not be tolerated. This is a collective effort, and we call on everyone to support us in our mission to create a safe and inclusive online environment for all.

GITFL will monitor comments on all of our social media channels and via direct messages. We will remove any posts, messages or comments and block any users that violate our policy.

We will not tolerate any form of abuse or discrimination, including:

  • Racism

  • Homophobia

  • Transphobia

  • Sexism

  • Hateful, abusive & offensive language

  • Sexual Harassment

We discourage engaging with offensive or abusive posts.

Where necessary, we will assist authorities if they wish to act on any reports made by ourselves or our online community regarding any behaviour that has occurred on our social media channels.

Reporting Incidents to Girls In The Fast Lane

If you have witnessed something that violates our Social Media policy, you can report it to us at hello@girlsinthefastlane.com.au.

To support our investigations, please provide:

  • A screenshot of the content you are reporting or related to

  • A link to the content you are reporting or related to

  • The username of the offender

We will investigate these reports and decide on the appropriate course of action. These actions can include, but are not limited to:

  1. Removing posts/comments/messages

  2. Blocking offenders from our social media channels

  3. Reporting the account/user/comment to the relevant social media platform

The decision on whether to take action will remain at our discretion. Please note that it will not always be possible to provide an outcome. However, this does not mean we have not investigated the report or acted on the report.

All reports will remain confidential and anonymous. We will acknowledge your report and contact you if we need any further information. Every report is important to us.
